The Alamo Chapter of Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA)
is a local chapter of the Southwest Section of the International AWMA. The AWMA is a not-for-profit, global network of environmental professionals. Its mission is to promote a clean environment worldwide. The Alamo Chapter was formed in 1990 with 10 members. Currently, there are approximately 100 local members.
The AWMA Alamo Chapter is comprised of: State and Local Regulators, Environmental Compliance Managers, Geologists, Engineers, Consultants, Attorneys, Students and other Environmental Professionals.

Local Participant Yearly Dues are $20 and Local Corporate Dues are $75. Applications can be found under the “Membership” tab.
Board Member Elections
Elections for board positions will be held in November. If you or someone you know would like an opportunity to be more involved in the Alamo Chapter then please nominate them or yourself by October 31, 2016. Board positions are a great opportunity to gain some experience and have some fun at the same time. Please contact any of the current board members for more details if you are interested. Open positions will be as follows:
Chair: 2 year term
Vice-Chair: 2 year term
Treasurer: 2 year term
Secretary: 2 year term
Director: 3 year term
Social Chair: no set term
Membership Chair: no set term
Newsletter Chair: no set term
Webmaster: no set term
