Letter from the Chair

AWMA Alamo Chapter Members,

By the time I write my last “Letter from the Chair” next month, we should have a newly elected AWMA Alamo Chapter Board.  Per our Alamo Chapter by-laws, International Members will receive ballots via email during the middle of November, and election results will be made available at the December luncheon.

It was certainly a surprise to most of us that it actually snowed during last year’s AWMA Holiday mixer.  While the bowling event was quite fun, the drive home was a bit nerve-wracking. This year, instead of having a Holiday mixer, the Board decided to have a Holiday luncheon.  Therefore, instead of having a speaker, we will have door prizes and other fun activities during our normally scheduled luncheon.  Our planning committee is working on several fun activities so please keep a look out for our December newsletter for further information.  We are looking for sponsors and/or donated items that can be given out as door prizes.  Please contact any of the Board members or info@AWMA.org if your organization would like to contribute.

Thank you all for your continued participation in AWMA activities.  Members make the organization keep going and your continued support is appreciated.  Hopefully, you can find an activity where you can contribute.  The Symposium will be here in the spring, and that is an area where help is always needed since making it successful involves a lot of work.

Best regards and be safe,

Juan Sandoval
